Fantastic Iwate Gala concert for the Reconstruction of Sanriku
Praying for the reconstruction of Sanriku where efforts toward its reconstruction are still continuing after 10 years from the 2011 East Japan Earthquake Disaster, the “Gala concert for the Reconstruction of Sanriku” will be held at Takatamatsubara Memorial Park, on the outdoor stage with the Miracle Lone Pine Tree monument and the Pacific at the back, featuring the “TSUNAMI Violin” revived from columns and driftwood of houses leveled by the tsunami, and with the participation of high-profile artists in various fields, from classical to J-pop music, as well as citizens, who joined in with this idea.

【TSUNAMI Violin・“The Bonds Made of a Thousand Tones” Project】
This project is like a relay of performances by a thousand violinists playing the “TSUNAMI Violin” made with driftwood and timber from houses leveled by the tsunami of the 2011 East Japan Earthquake Disaster. In addition to pray for the repose of the souls of the victims who passed away and prevent the memory of the disaster from weathering, this is also in the hope of conveying the message about the importance for each and every one to prepare for a disaster.
